Foxes enter and play around,
you sit inside and wonder about the noise,
you rest your face in my hands and sigh.
I told you more than twice,
“do remember to close the gate.”
My father wouldn’t allow me to indulge,
told me to not look under the bed
i knew you were hiding but now you’re gone,
and i missed the chance to grab you by the horns,
i don’t get a second chance, i don’t get to push you off the cliff
